Is playing soccer tougher than a distance running race or traning session?
I mean which of the two activities is more burdensome and tiring. What do you think?

Why isn't ultrarunning more popular?
As a distance runner and soccer player, I have to say distance running.Only because with soccer there is that motivation to run, the ball is the reason.
Distance is all you, what you have inside to keep you going. Burdensome and tiring is what distance running is all about.
Beside soccer are spirts of running speeds mixed around. I think you feel sore muscles more than breathless momments.
I'm running a 5k on May 5th, any tips...?
"soccer" is more about skill and speed and being able to continually run at high speeds with breaks. Long distance running is about endurance and stamina. They are completely different and can't really be compared.
They are both tiring depending on what level you play/run at. Running, however, can be potentially more difficult as you start running faster and for longer, but it's something you control. The skill in soccer is something that some people just have and can be born with. It takes more than training to be the best at soccer but you can still become good with determination.
well it depends on the distance tht we're talking about. marathons are, by far, the most strenuous on the body. i think that distance races of about 5k or more are harder than a soccer game or trainig session because at that point, you have run more than anyone will in a game, and harder than training.
Do squats help you with sprinting (400 meter in particular)?
I'd have to say running, but I'm not reliable. I'm a runner and haven't played soccer in years. It depends how far you run and how strenuous the soccer game/practice is. They're completely different and some people are built better for one sport better than another.Which pair of running shoes is best for me?
in a way i think soccer could be because you have to sprint more and change directions which is more tiring that just running, but you also get short breaks, so basicly it kinda of depends on the person and and what type of running they are best at. If you are considering one of these sports though i'd say soccer because for me the excitment of the game lets me focus less on how tired i am insted of just running which kinda bores me.Cheapest place to buy Asics Kayano 13's?
distance running is definatley harder than soccer. i mean not harder, just more physicaly taxing. if u no what i mean.I'm am now running a 5.26 mile and I'm 14 how many people can do that?
When you realize that most sports get in shape to play their sport by running, then it is obvious that running is tougher. I played soccer, and you do not run all of the time, you walk, stand, and sometimes sit. The professional soccer team here entered an 8 mile charity race one year, they were in the back of the pack. I talked to some of them after the race, and they said the statement about soccer players running 7 miles during a game had to be wrong because this was much tougher. The difference is that the soccer game is played in 2, 45 minute halves, and they are not running all of the time.distance running is probably harder than soccer, but it all depends on how long and fast you are running for. it also depends on how much you would be running in the soccer game or practice.
it really depends on what your body is built for

I do both and love both but soccer is a lot more social so you don't get as tired. Running Cross Country or training for distance means running 8 miles a day 4 no reason... So running is tougherMore Questions & Answers...
