How often should you change the actual spikes in your track spikes ?
10k is equal to about 6.2 mile so for a beginning runner, it might take you about an hour to finish. You should probably start running 3-5 miles 5 or 6 days out of the week starting now and sometime in mid-February run about 8 or 9 miles one time just to prepare your body for the shock of a longer race. Keep a positive attitude, eat as healthy as possible and set realistic goals for yourself. I'm from the south jersey area and did alot of my running around cooper river over winter break. Good luck! You may not want to run this one as it will be much more exciting to watch the race for fastest local resident. Rumor is a guy named Adam Jones is looking to take 1st place for the Charleston locals. Last year, an unknown lizard by the name of Neil M. took the win for the locals. What a competition it is going to be!
What's a good way to condition for track?
Despite the course you will have no probelms as long as you get your milage up. you should probably get up to 30 miles a week and run 5 to 6 days a week. Enjoy the race and remember training will take care of you.More Questions & Answers...
