Who here agrees.......
Who agrees that the middle distance races, especially the 800 meter run are the most brutal of all athletic events in any given sport? 2 minutes or less of pure pain....my opinion.
Answers:
"Real" cross country races- not road races.?
Yes they are! I run the 800m in 1:55. I have passed out 7 times doing this race.Help!! quick please help me now!?
yep i agree with youtrue i second the emotion!
Yep! me three am agree. What ever you just said.
How can i do really well in my cross country?
Yes, agreement here.In Cross Country, how do you stop from getting blisters on your feet?
I agree. I ran them in high school.Proper method to run? heal-ball?
You want pain? Try 2 rounds of boxing with Manny Pacquiao...How do I deal with this big blister while trying to train? more...?
That is sooo true!! If it's short it's okay. Long distance is easy to handle. In between is very hard and tiring. I think it is because it is hard to time your energy right. How do i get faster in track ... theres more to it?
i agreeStarted running again but.. please help!?
Yeah man, you said it.The 400 and 800 put a person into oxygen debt the way no other event can. Barf-o-rama...
I will agree if we are not including the Marathon. There isn't any feeling in the world that compares to "hitting the wall" at mile 22 and having to finish the last 4.2 miles.
Can running bare foot damage your feet?
Yes! They're too long to run as a full-on sprint and too short to really be run with the pacing strategy of a longer distance event.I like bacon too!
Do you think it will be possible for me to shed 6 seconds on my 400?
it depends on who you are. I run the 3200 with all ive got and thats closer to 10 minutes of pain. Good distance runners dont get some kind of 'break' because they can pace for a longer distance. no matter how long you run you should leave it all on the track.i do i did it
the 800 is the bomb! I looove it because you don't sprint or jog, just.. run. It's just short enough to not think, just long enough that you actually realize you're running something.
Two mile is killer. You can literally feel the years ticking off your lifespan while you go around that track, especially in a little 150m indoor track- it's like 25 laps!
What are those guys who run in the city doing acrobatics called. and how do i become one?
the 800 is considered by many to be not only the most brutal race, but the hardest because is run on that fine line between a sprint and a distance run. What is the best way to avoid blisters when running a 26.2 miles?
Erm...I'm on the fence. I run the 800m in track, and it's my easiest race for some reason, and also my best. I'd guess I'll say it's not 2 minutes of pure pain...besides, it's only 2 minutes, a remarkably short time when compared to, for example, a 5k or a marathon. The time it takes me to run one 5k (22:59 on a good day) is the amount of time it'd take me to run 11 800m. Anyway, the point is, 800m=easy. 5k=pretty hard. 10k=mentally dead (along with physically) at the end.Are Nike Shox Explodine shoes good for a running program?
either the 800 or the 400 definetly attempt to kill me every time i run them at a meet. but in my personal opinion, the 400 is slightly worse because of the fact that you're sprinting the whole thing and not just striding.More Questions & Answers...
