Answers:
Just keep running and doing sit-ups.
Go ask a Devil Dog! Semper!!
How to get faster at running 100m?
you should run longer than 2 miles go for like 5, cause before i have field hockey i run about5 miles (dogg week) and it preps you up so when yuo have to run like 1 or 2 miles it is sooooooo easy, and imagine someone is pushing you for hard, or pretend someone you like is watching you and cheering you on atthe finish , and as for the sit ups do like a million of those so when you run your abs wont hurt, and BREATHE THRU YOUR NOSE , IF YOU BREATHE THROUGH YOUR MOUTH CRAMPS!!!1111I am beter at 400m but coach wants me to stick to 800m?
2 miles is a relatively short distance to run for someone in shape. my suggestion is to do intervals along with distance running. maybe run some repeat miles. do 400 yard or 800 . you will feel so tired at the end but its really good for speed. run distance 3 times a week. and intervals 2 times a week. take 2 days off.eat healthier too. that alone will shave a few minutes off.
weight training will also help, but can kill motivation to run. (its hard to get yourself up when your sore)
Do squats help you with sprinting (400 meter in particular)?
For the sit-ups, do more sit-ups. If I remember its as many as you can do in 2 minutes. Get your body used to doing the situps by breaking it down to sets with rest. Gradually decreasing the rest. For example, do sets of 20 with one minute rest between each set. Drop the rest interval down to the point where you are doing one big set. I'd stretch this out over a few weeks and not do too much too soon. For the running I'd work on doing intervals on a track. Pick a target time for your 2 mile, lets say 12 minutes. Your interval pace will be the equivalent of 6 minute miles or a little faster. Specific workouts could be 8 x 400 meters in 85 seconds with 200 m easy jog between. Another could be 5 x 800 at 2:55 w/ 300m rest. Finally, my favorite, 5 x 1000 in 3:40.
Good luck
What the heck is wrong with my legs?
practice!!This works best if you are at home, not training. hooaah! Becoming a good runner takes a hell lot of practice. Your breathing, pace keeping, clear mind and relaxed posture is had to maintain and focus if you don't have self discipline.
Start with a jog you can keep pace with for 30min. do 30 crunches and call it a day. rest for 24hrs and do the same again. maintain the 24hr rest throughout this training. Next, set a pace run where you can talk but can't sing for 20min, the do 3 sets of 40 crunches and 1 set of 40 sit-ups. maintaining your rest period do this for 3 days. then set a pace run where you can't talk a four word sentence for 15 min, immediately followed by 3 sets of 50 sit-ups and 1 set of 25 crunches. do this for 3 more days. then improve at your own pace. you say this tiring? hell no. what is tiring is my marathon training,(it sucks) some days i go lazy. but don't go lazy too.
Check..start this training a month earlier if you have a PT test coming up. good luck
