Running is the most healthy thing you can do for yourself and body, in my opinion. Running increases your metabolism and makes your digestion, vitamin, mineral, and nutrient uptake in your body. Running will also shake everything good and loose if you get constipated.Running increases the amount of serotonin, noreprinephrine, and dopamine in the synapses and decreases reuptake levels, helping to aleviate depression and reduce stress and anxiety. Running also focuses the mind think more direct and organized, helped me write my thesis. running will also help you set goals in life and have a purpose.
Running, contrary to what all non-runners think, helps DECREASE arthritis in the joints because it is a weight bearing exercise and increase blood flow to more areas in the body.
If you are unfit then be prepared to be a giant sad sack of depression, type II diabetes, unfocused, arthritic, stopped-up nut-case. Therapy won't help, getting your butt off the couch and around the block a few times will.
