Does anyone have any experience with a patella strap?


I purchased one not so long ago as my I have had some knee discomfort. I bought a new pair of shoes and have begun the necessary strengthening and stretching exercises. Since I have started using the strap the pain seems to be manageable. My question is, should I be wearing this when I am not running? And, Do straps mask the pain or do they help heal?

Is this a good training schedule for beginners (running)?

The strap can prove beneficial temporarily while running. However, it should not be used for a long period of time to avoid addressing or trying to physically improve your knee's condition. I'd suggest maybe a small elastic knee brace if you're standing a lot when not running, but don't wear this strap except during training or racing efforts.

Where can I find Soffe shorts cheap?

They help alot, but as the guy above me said, Don't wear them for extended periods of time. If your knee hurts that bad then see a doctor.
