Sprinting and jumping with plantar fasciitis?


I'm a sprinter and jumper in track and field. I posted a question asking if I am able to train with plantar fasciitis earlier. This time I want to know if I do train with pf, would it make my condition worse? I am a sprinter and a jumper.

I am guess you are flat foot jumping and running. Make sure your technique/running form is good, you're running tall and up on your toes and not rocking back.
You'll need to make sure you stretch out your Achilles,and arch area well during warm up, get good shoes with good arch support,also maybe an insole(orthopaedic), taping it up in competition is a must even in practices, work on making sure you are stretching calves properly and maybe getting them stronger too, in warm up also do a lot of stretching of your foot and arches(push toe hard against a wall,flex foot like you're standing on your toes, twist a little to the side and hold until you feel a stretch on the outside ankle bone and in your arches)) and and make sure you're getting physio(they usually do ultrasound on it). after practices try aspirin or Advil which will help will help the inflammation a bit.it will be constant pain if you keep training on it especially jumping

What is "dipping"?

I'm sad to say this but running track will make the condition worse. I have the same condition. I don't know about you but most of the time when I get done running it hurts so bad that i cant walk. I love track so much though. I still run because this is my last year of high school. Taping my arch always helps me.
