I'm looking at treadmills from Ironman (Legacy), Smooth (5.25), and Sole (f63).Which offers the best quality?

I would follow the obvious advice and talk to your therapist, see what he/she has to say, but don't limit yourself to what they think. You know your own body much better than any doctor or therapist would. When I was a freshman in H.S. I pulled my hip flexor and fractured my hip while running cross country (about mid-September). My hip flexor healed up pretty quickly with a lot of rest (about 3 or 4 weeks), but the fracture took much longer to heal. I started swimming and running in the pool to stay in shape. I was able to return by the end of XC season, though I didn't feel good. I think taking about 3 months off would have put me in good shape as far as healing the fracture, so I wouldn't think most people who are in at least fair shape would have to take off more than 3 or 4 months. If it's a really serious pull, I would give it at least 6 weeks before you try anything, and be sure to start very slowly when you get back into it. Don't be afraid to go slow even if you feel great. Give it some time before you really start putting in the miles, and listen to your body.

Why is jarret so mean to me but not mean to his friends?

Yes, you should. It is the fastest way. If you don't rest it and continue to run on it, then it will get worse and put you out for xc next year. It sucks to be out a season, but it's worth it. You want to get rid of the problem now.

How do I train for my first marathon?

take it slow and see what happens in pre season and talk to your Dr. Don't over do it really listen to your body, if you start hurting then stop immediatley so you don't risk permanent injury, but my guess would be that it would be wise to take the season off. Talk to your therapist and ask what they think. They should be able to design a program to start you back runnning again. I had a sprained ankle and my therapist put be on a run/walk program and increased it very slowly but I'm back running and have been for several years and still injury free

What motivates you to keep running?

Start slow. Talk to your therapist. I hurt my knee and had to miss part of the XC season. I kept running on it even though it hurt, and I made it worse. The problem with running injuries is that if you keep going, they will mess up your running form which will cause you to hurt something else. Start back on to it slowly. My physical therapist told me to start by only running a 400, then the next day increasing to an 800 the next day, then a 1200, and so on until I was back up to speed. Good luck!

Help with Hurdles--Better Time & Form?

i think you should be able to do light workouts and nothing hard just to keep you in shape until it heals and betters.
