How do you heal a strained piriformis?

just like anything else, running is good for you as long as you dont overdo it.

as long as you wear proper shoes, have good form, and dont try to run a marathon every day, you'll be fine. Too much running with the wrong shoes and not enough rest can hurt your feet and knees.

as far as sagging and drooping - no, running will not hurt you there at all. its an aerobic exercise, so it will cause your body to lose fat, and avoid sagging. If you're worried about your chest, wear a good sports bra.

Why did I get leg cramps in my calves while running today?

I've been running for more years than I'll admit. Running is a good, efficient way to get your cardio in. My body is in better shape now than before. My posture has gotten better, and muscle tone has improved. Run some on trails or softer surfaces to give your body a break from hard surfaces. Enjoy your running it's good for the body and the soul!

I need some tips to help me run faster what kind of exercises can i do to help me?

I've been running for over 25 years. I don't droop and look younger than most people my age. My kness and joints are still fine and I feel great. I run Marathons and so my mileage is higher than the average runner and still going strong. Running is the best cardio you can do.

How do I run longer, build my endurance?

Doctors have said that running is the worst thing that you can put your body through.. and i agree to summ extent. i'm on the track team and i love runnin. but normally ppl on the track teams are the ones that get hurt because they are bein pressured to go as fast as they possibly can wich isn't good to do all the time thats why i have a hurt knee and it hurts and swells everyday after practice thats why i can only run in one event now instead of 4 but i can still win and everything but i'm gonna have probs with my knee for a very long time now. If your just runnin to stay in shape then you'll prob be just fine just don't force yourself to go too fast... joggin in the best thing to do :)

Cutest running shoes ever!?

Running can have an adverse affect on your joints and connective tissues if you do not do it correctly. Training shoes are indeed one of the most important things. Stretching is also a very important. If you have weak joints, take glucosamine, a natural supplement that lubricates your joints. If you can not handle the stresses of running, I would suggest swimming, which puts very little stress on your joints.

What is a great way to increase my stamina?

no, try to keep good form(straight) and also take breaks periodically. If u do run too much you might get shin splints. my suggestion: run 5-6 days a week and take 2 weeks off every few months
