Questions about track?

Question:these are just some questions ive always wondered about.
If you win a race then you go throw up will you get disquallified?
How are your habds supposed to be when you run cuz they say dont make a fist or claw at the air but what are you supposed to do with them then?

Answers:

What is healthier running on a treadmill or running outdoors?

throw up all you want , once the race is over theres only winners and losers, as for running have your hands open and flat, fingers straight out, if its distance space your finger but keep them straight and your muscles in your hand lose, if its a sprint keep them tight.

I'm just wondering, but for a 14 year old, is a 5:52 mile any good? Or is it below average, or just average?

no, throwing up wont get you disqualified
pretend that you are holding an egg, no too tight but in that shape

Do you think I will be able to lower my time in cross country? Especially considering how bad I did this year?

I don't know about your area or events, but after you have left the track you are safe in most cases. When I was in track in Ohio years ago we set a state high school record in the 400m
relay ,but was disqualified. The reason being the last leg(runner) threw the bataan in the grass after he crossed the finish line before leaving the track. Regarding your hands,it's best to stay loose.Keep your hands in line with your stride to help push you forward.Loose equals less air resistence, which means less effort inturning meaning better times...
Hope this helps-

What features should I look for in a treadmill?

no u dont ge dis. if u throw up cuz i do everytime!...and i dont..and i run with my pointer fingers out and the rest ina fist...weird but thts what i do!

Where is a good place in Chicago where one can find a good deal on track spikes?

no, you won't get a DQ!! It just happens, but it's not that great for your body. The best way to run is fists with your thumbs up, but don't have your fists tight, make it nice and easy. Or have your hands a tiny bit curved. good luck with your future races.

Track clothes?

You DEFINITELY don't get disqualified for throwing up.

Hand positions:

Sprinters: straight and firm, fingers together, slicing the air like blades

Distance Runners: relaxed, fingers curled in somewhat, pretty much like how fingers naturally curl when you are walking.

Whatever you do, don't flop your wrists or hands around when you run, that can mess up the rest of your body's form and cause more wind resistance.
