Fast twitch is the muscle fibers that enable you to run fast. Slow twitch have more endurance. You must work the fibers that you want to condition, so you must run fast to get faster. You can also lift and do plyometrics to develop them. You will never have more cells than you have now. You can not grow more cells to increase their number. You can only improve their performance by training to recruit more cells to fire during a movement, and to strengthen them so that they can move more weight, i.e. run faster.Try weight training. Lift ten pounds of weight to begin, and lift for ten times. Repeat this for a total of four times.
