I am a runner and i need to gain 5 pounds pretty soon, does anyone have any advice on how to?

How do you condition during the summer for Cross-Country and Track and Field?

The first thing to do is make sure you are eating at least three meals a day. Breakfast, Lunch and dinner. If you are a runner eat lots of carbohydrates. A good mix is whole wheat bread and peanut butter and that offers all of your necessary amino acids (complete protein) and carbohydrate to boot. If you drink milk drink a higher M.F% Like homogenized milk. You might want to avoid that as it is high in cholesterol and saturated fats. Soy milk is a good alternative. It also helps to always carry around some snacks in your pocket like nuts or raisins. Stop eating them at least an hour before one of your meals or you wont be hungry enough to eat.

EAT LOTS OF PROTEIN!! Peanuts, protein bars, anything with healthy fat will be the best for you. Hi protein and fiber and lift while doing so. This way you will still be in shape and healthy enough to be able to continue running but will also have a thicker build.
