kick their behinds and be nice about it.. let your achievements speak for you.. before too long they will be gone.. of course if one of them says something to you.. just ask them this question.. do you want to win or do you want to loose.. if you want to win.. then you are on the same wave as me.. buy the way.. if you are better than them.. don't flaunt it.. be nice and be good.. but don't brag.. you will earn their respect.. good luck

If I can run 4 miles in 33 minutes now, how many weeks should I train to run 13 miles in 105 minutes?

I would ignore them because they are jealous. You're better than all of them. You said it yourself. So, move on and leave them...in your dust. I wouldn't let idiots like these lower MY self esteem. They talk sh*t behind your back because they wish they could be like you, and this behavior makes them feel better about themselves.

Well talk to them about it. Tell them how you feel and how bad they make you feel. if they cant say sorry and be friends forget their sorry asses. you do not need people like that in you're life. just go about ignoring them.

Keep playing your best game, seek council with your coach, and have the coach approach the problem. Do not let them get you down, tell your parents what is going on. Be strong for yourself and for the team.

Is 4 minutes 45 seconds a good time for a 14yr old girl to run a mile?

My stepdaughter was the way she was in the eighth grade and was a JV cheerleader in the High School, when she became a freshman in High School she became a Varsity Cheerleader. Be yourself show the girls your just like them, they will see you for what you are and they will like you, never be anyone but yourself.

I have a 800m race on Monday, a school race, qualifications for a track and Field championship?

Treat the varsity girls like a friend. Be friendly to them (but don't push it to far, you know?)

How long has it been going on? If not for a while, then I bet that it would go away soon. The varsity girls will get used to it.

Also watch your actions. Make sure you don't brag or gloat or anything of that nature.

Good Luck. And have fun with your season.

How do u look and see how many thumbs up and down u got for your answers?

Does Ivory Crockett's 9.0 second 100 yard dash make him the fastest man ever?

The best thing to do and the most disarming thing to do in a situation such as this is to continue to be super nice to everyone. If you're always nice, always smiling, always saying hello- they can't do anything about it! If they continue to ignore you, oh well! Besides being nice, you can continue to prove yourself on and off the track. Be positive, cheer for them, encourage them, ask them for tips- those things will leave them speechless. Next time you suspect that they are takling behind your back, get your guts up and make sure to interupt them by wakling by and saying hi with a big smile or striking up a conversation about the next track meet.

If none of this works, you might want to talk to the coach about it. Not in a tattle telling sort of way but just in needing his suggestions as to how you can fit in better. Your coach will be on your side because every coach loves a rookie who comes in and can run varsity from the get go. You are what coaches love and you'll be taking him to state because of your talent! He needs you and the team needs you. Give the girls some time, try being super nice and quite frankly, continue to kick their *** on the track. :-) I ran varsity my freshman year as well. It was hard but I made friends with the other freshman and just continued to run my hardest.

Be above them. Don't be mean, be super nice. If you have the choice to be right or be kind, be kind because YOU will always know that you're right.

Running relays?

they probably think that you are full of yourself and that you think you are better than them at everything. try to reach out to them so you erase that image.

Hey I'm wondering what types of Plyometrics i can do to increase my sprint speed and over all distance speed?

I understand...I feel the same way sometimes at my practice. I'm not the very fastest on the team, but I'm right up there. I'm a sophomore, and I'm varsity, and I started with outdoor track when I was a freshman. I kept getting faster, and the girls seemed to like me at first, but then this year they've been shunning me. I think track girls are just like that. No one wants to lose their spot in the order, and they hold a grudge against anyone who ruins the order. They don't like anyone who is a threat, and it sounds like you are. Don't worry, they are just jealous. My advice is to try to be outgoing and personable, which is very difficult when you know they're talking about you. Believe me, I know, it's really hard, but the only thing you can do is give it time and try to befriend them. And if that doesn't work, they're all probably juniors and seniors, so they'll be gone in a couple years anyway! :)
