Can anyone recommend a decent running machine for home use. I would like one that folds and feels like good ql

It's shin splints.

This happens when the muscle covering the shin separates a bit from the bone. To prevent this from happening, place your leg a bit elevated in front of you and stretch your toes down to the ground. Also by running shoes with good arches.

Shin splints are caused from bad support and running on hard surfaces such as pavement.

Get a dixie cup and fill it with water half way
Place in freezer until frozen,
Peel the bottom off and run along shins.
Lots of rest helps too!

Good luck, I hope you feel better.

Gasp 6:26 mile?on a good day?

Sounds more like shin splints to me.

Rest and ice.

10 points for the correct and best answer.?

It is probably shin splints. There are many theories on the causes, but most agree it comes from running on hard surfaces without proper cushion. Some stretching, massage, and ice will help.

What is a proper track diet?

Just be careful about worsening pain. My daughter had stress fractures 2 years in a row, we kept thinking they were 'shin splints'. A normal x-ray won't show a stress fracture, if you have real pain, or an area which is more acute than any other area, see a dr who specializes in orthopedics. Most definitely have a good pair of shoes, go to a store that specializes in running shoes, they may cost more but the improved quality and match to your gait will be worth it time and time again!

I am thinking of getting nike air max 360s. is it possible that they will blow up if i step on something sharp

congradulations! You have shin splints. Its not stretching, its your running. (but yes, keep stretching (i stretch 20-30 minutes before i run)) You're putting too much thrust on your heels. Shift some of that weight towards your toes. It means you're going to have to change your style of running. I had to do it.. but do it now before you develop any permanent habbits.

How can I shave off 30-45 seconds on my 1.5 mile time in 3 days?

be very careful, if its shin splints then u have to fix them

u can tape them and be sure that ur shoes fit and are coushiony adn be sure to ice them and streach alot....
