What specific foods to eat the night before a track meet?
Im going for pasta, alot of it, bananas, and nuts. Will that keep me good? Also. What other foods should I eat tomorrow during school? ( I can eat during class, my teachers dont care). I run the 110 hurdles, 300 hurdles, 200 and 4X4.

Can somebody advice me how to improve my 3000m Steeplchase?
Bingo - pasta. Lots of pasta. Nuts are good. Bananas (and other fruits) are all simple carbs, which tend to give you a boost right after you eat them, and then leave you sleepy, or go right to your hips, which isn't at all helpful to a hurdler, unless you eat it about 20 minutes before the event. Then again, bananas are no worse than any other fruit. During class, I'd say something like a granola bar or maybe a Powerbar kind of thing wouldn't be bad. Something with whole grains and/or carbs. How do i make the transition from a 100m sprinter to long distance runner?
It is common belief that you should eat pasta the night before a race, however because of its bulkiness it sits in your stomache. So it has been proven that it takes about 24 hours to fully digest so if you have an afternoon track meet you should eat pasta at lunch the day before. The night before you could have some chicken or other white meat(not fatty) and you should keep hydrated throughout the day by carrying around a water bottle with you and sipping it. You can eat some nutrient bars, granola bars, fruit (especially if its hot out), maybe a power bar a couple hours before but nothing too heavy. Good luck.Pasta is ideal the night before a track meet. You could have it with some salad for dinner the night before. You want complex carbs because they give you energy like suger, but they last long. Pasta has those carbs. For breakfast eggs and some whole grains is great. Like a whole wheat bagel or something. For lunch I normally have a salad with chicken, because you want something light. But since you're a vegatarian you could have some almonds or pine nuts on top. During the meet granola bars and fruits are best.

any food with starch a lot of itHonestly, your sprinting. It is far more important what you've been eating over the past couple of months when you've been training that it is what you eat the night before a race. You see, long distance runners like to eat pasta before a race because those type of carbohydrates will provide long lasting energy- not just a short boost. You're sprinting, and essentially your sport is all about "short boosts." While pasta is good regardless and I really can't think of anything that would be better for a sprinter in particular, don't think its gonna have a big effect on your race, because it won't. However, a lot of things will. Don't eat junk food before a race because obviously you will cramp up or otherwise not perform as well. It is not necessary for a sprinter to "carb-load," just eat healthy foods and avoid things like apples that have lots of lactic acid.
Oh yes, the most important thing. WATER! The life-nourishing substance. Stay hydrated- that is vital (but don't overhydrate- if your race in the afternoon, drinking about a quart of water from when you wake up should suffice, but more wouldn't hurt. Just don't go downing a gallon.) And I mean water- not any of that gatorcrap or powershit. If you want "electrolytes" go ahead and eat some salt with your lunch- forget about those sugar drinks.
You should eat carbs, carbs, and more carbs! You don't even need to eat meat. I'm not a vegetarian, but now that I think about it, steak and chicken aren't up there in the things I eat before a meet. It really doesn't matter what you eat the night before as long as it's healthy, and it fills you up well. The night before is when you should eat heavy, so you have enough energy for the next day. Then the day of the race, eat lightly. During class, you should eat some sort of crackers (I like goldfish), and some fruit, bananas perhaps since you said you eat those. Also, make sure you drink plenty of water too! As you said, pasta, bananas, and nuts should keep you good. Good luck! :)
What is track team in high school, how does it work, and how can you join?
Pasta becase it has lots of energy that stores in your body an it uses it the next day thats what i do before every track meet an cross country meet i do the 110 hurdles an 300 hurdles an during class i eat nothing relly just drink lots of water but if you do yeat eat somehting in the catagory of fruit or like bread it gives you energyI also run those terrible 300H, but back to you. pasta or any type of carbs is good for energy along with fruits and veges. here is something that you could eat anyway: peanut butter or anything with peanut butter. it provides energy that can be broken down easily and doesn't give you a "down" from the sugar rush.
hope that helps
