spaghetti and waterTrack and Field Training Vs. Cross Country Training.?
oatmeal.peanutbutter.
they both stick, and are loaded with carbs and somewhat fat, fat gives you a little more energy.
plenty of water.
and if gatorade, water it down slightly, so much sodium it would suck you dry.
good luck.
Eat lots of pasta and drink water. Try to avoid Gatorade or power-aid until after you compete. If you drink it before hand, it will dehydrate you. Afterwards the electrolytes are amazing though.
What workouts n stuff should i use with my stregnth shoes, also are they worth it?
Well, first- skip things like caffeine and foods that are high in salt content. Peanut butter and oatmeal don't 'stick' to your insides so they aren't any better than the next food. I recommend a balanced diet. The only reason to carb load is for a long race (half or full marathon) because with track races you have time in between events to fuel up if need be. Have something you normally have so that you aren't shocking your body with some new food (that might exit the wrong way the next day if you know what I mean...) Nothing fatty like hamburgers and pizza; just nutritious. Grilled chicken and vegis- the chicken is high in protein and low in fat and the vegis have good vitamins. Drink water to make sure you're well hydrated especially if it will be a warm day the next day. You can have bread and pasta- just don't overdo it and instead of white bread and plain pasta, if you're going to have carbs, make sure they are whole wheat rather than empty starches.Hope that helps!

I need the best pair of athletic shoes possible!! Any ideas?
lots of fluids and carbs (like pasta, bread, ect.)for sprints or distance or field events?
For distance and even field-Whole grain food such as cereal, bagels, pasta, and bread give good energy to the
whole body, keeps you full and regulates the digestive tract
Sprints/jumps-Peanut butter, a good source of protein
and essential fats, it's easy
to carry and eat on the go. Other proteins like lean meat or dairy...which prevents the body from taking protein from
lean tissue.
Fresh fruits and Vegetables-such as bananas, contain potassium, the day of it elimimates muscle cramps and fatigue and speeds muscle tissue recovery.
cheese, yogurt, and milk should be eaten well before an
event, as they take some time to process, so the night before is good.
