What the heck is wrong with my legs?

i have been training heavy, every day, for half a year now, and i've never taken a break. if i do, it's just 1 rest day. but i figured i was overtraining, so i took 7 days off with no running. so i started to train yesterday, but after about 4 minutes, i had to stop! my legs felt like they were heavy as rocks, my knees hurt, and my feet felt like they were being crushed! my legs were just throbbing with pain, and when i ran, i felt like i had the worst stride in the world. you would think that i would recover after A WEEK OFF but i felt worse after that rest than i did when i was training! what the crap!?? help me!

I'm into track and field and I decided to buy new running shoes, what adidas shoes do you recommend me?

If it's creaking.
Need greasing the ligament.
Sign of old age catching up with time in planet of apes.
After the rest for a while .
The leg lost sense of direction.
So start all over again.
And teach it how to run again in planet of apes.
Wise not to run.
Just take a good walk until you sweat .
That be just good for you.
By running may sometime drop and never get up agian.
Will miss all the fun out there in planet of apes.

I just joined the track team and I need help?

If you want to run and swim on the same day...?

what you have is a rare disease called "leggobyebyeidas" soon your legs will fall completely off. the only known cure is to wrap both legs in horse manure compresses for 6-8 weeks. if this treatment fails, just mail me a bunch of cash and i will go to the island of kneeboldt and bring back some magical sprigs of tallawandie root and brew you some tea.hope this helps, good luck.

How many miles do you run in middle school cross country?

Maybe you have shin splints. Thats what i have and they SUCK. horribly.

How do you run the 800 meter and the 400 meter?

Taking off one week should not have affected your training or make your feet and legs feel this way. I believe in active rest where you do something just not run or train. Try walking and see if your legs come back. If this pain continues you may want to see a real doctor, not one that says "don't run for 2 weeks and lets see how you feel" Try riding a bike or swimming. Get your legs moving and work back into running. Running 6 days a week is not necessarily over training it depends on your mileage and how fast you are running. Stretching and massage will help your legs recover.

Running 1 mile?

Frankly that's not unusual. You shouldn't run hard after a long rest period. Your mechanical parts (ankles, legs, knees) need to adjust.

BTW, I think you should take 1 or 2 days off a month just because. Every time I got an injury or got sick, I could look back and see a long streak of consecutive running days. It was my body telling me it's time for a rest.

Good Luck
