How to run faster in a 100 race?

To avoid scratching (fouling), start at the board and run back. Use about the same sized steps you use when you sprint. Mark where you want to start after you measure your steps. When you jump, make sure to push up. If you go fast enough, height will definitely help you get a longer jump. Also, make sure to fall forward. If you land and fall backwards, they measure the back of your hand...which really sucks since it can put you back by over a foot. Always jump, even if it seems like you'll scratch, because you can hurt your leg.

Practice makes perfect. You should already have the leg strength to make a good jump. You just need to learn to apply it to long jump.
