Next Sunday is my 1st Marathon (San Diego RnR). Then, I got a flu yesterday. Please help!?
I am still feeling weak, body ache, dry throat. I have been taking vitamin C, Advil, DayQuil, cough drops.. and not recovered yet. . I am so worry that I won't be able to make it to the race. Have not been running for 3 days already. Don't know if I could resume exercise tomorrow. Look like I may not be able to finish the course in the race. Any suggestions? What should I do? It is my very 1st race. I don't want to miss it.

If you really want to try it do it get back to work just slowly don't push yourself. Go for a long 90 min. run to re-pace yourself don't overrun yourself this will help you get those legs numb and ready for the race since you haven't ran for three days. Run the race. Start off slower than your original planned pace by a minute a mile, but run it. You will regret it more if you don't. HYDRATE!More Questions & Answers...
