an aerobic activity is anything that gets your heart beating faster and makes you sweat. Hiking sure counts. if you do it at more than a slow walk, you should be breathing hard and sweaty within 20 minutes.

Just watch out for those exposed tree roots across the trail; they can put a quick end to your workout, and help put your orthopedic specialists kids through college.
