Are you referring to Roger Craig, the former runningback for the 49ers? If so, while he is an avid marathon runner now, he was pretty focused on his football career in college. I might be able to believe that he was on a track team because he's still pretty fast, but to be in the Drake Relays, well, that's very hard to believe..
