Am I a good runner?

By all means, do not skip the meet. It is always important to be at a meet even if you aren't running to support your teammates.

However, in terms of running, it depends on how much you feel you can do. You say you feel 75%. Perhaps by thursday you will feel well enough to run. Coaches don't always know what's best for you, because they can't tell exactly how much you're hurting and how much you want to run the race. Don't run just because your friends want you to. Running is a sport that you run for yourself and for your own health. Also consider how much risk you are willing to put into the race. Is it the end of the season and one of the last meets you will run at? or are there more meets that if you waited to run in, you could perform even better? Put your situation in perspective. What do you want to gain from running? and go from there.

good luck.

Lifting weights to build speed?

This exact Situation happened to me last week!! I sat out the meet (league finals), my ankle was still a little swollen but i didnt want to risk getting it worse. but i was really disappointed after the meet because i couldve won the mile and the 800(they ran really slow:\) and we couldve won the 4x400 if i was running. And it also cost us the team championship as well. So i wish i could go back in time and compete. But for your situation, just see how it feels tomorrow... try to run on it a little and then decide if you're gonna run or not! I hope you make the right choice!

Can one use the Nike iPod attachment with an ipod video or is it just a Nano?

u probably only feel 75% cos uv stopped running 4 a bit. by thursday it might be better.
but don't run if it does hurt cos u might do lots of damage and even miss months of training! this can be bad if u r committed to training

Thick throat, unable to swallow...?

You know how you feel. If you are not good to run it is foolish to risk greater injury for one meet. It is better to recover and come back than to aggravate the injury and have it become serious, may be even permanent.

Looking for summer workout for 400 m run?

dont skip it. i spained my ankle last year playing basketball during the track season. it was stupid to be playing but i love both sports anyway. i told my friends i would run . and i didnt run on it again tilll the wednesday before the meet. 4 days after a sprained it and the meet was thursday. i went out to that meet to prove to the people who told me not to and broke my personal records in 2 out of three events so i say run on it and good luck.
