How often should I change the spikes in my mid-distance track spikes?
They are 1/8 inch pyramids. Do I even have to at all?

Will i get faster if i continue to run a mile daily on 9? Or will it just build up my endurance?
i would change my spikes before every big meet. especially if they are worn down.i would buy a new pair shoes before each season begins
Unless they get worn down, you don't have to change spikes at all.
You might want to change spikes depending on the track surface (longer spikes for more "cushy" tracks, shorter spikes for less cushy tracks).
If you are racing only on all-weather surfaces you should be able to get through a season with just making sure they are screwed in tightly. The "wear" on the spike should be negligible.
On the cinders, it is a different story. Besdes needing longer spikes, you will just have to monitor the wear, since those tracks can really tear up the bottoms of the racing spikes/shoes.
Who makes a really good running shoe?
I normally only change my MD spikes once every season unless one falls out. Keep them tightened and watch for wear. If I notice that mine aren't sharp anymore I change them, or before a big race like districts and state.i get a new pair before each season, but i try to rotate them before every invitational/meet
