Hardcore runners what is the #1 problem that you can't seem to solve?

Ankle pain. I can run on dirt, get the best shoes money can buy and strengthen the surrounding muscles, but my ankles always hurt. I just run though the pain.
How does eating pasta 1 or 2 days before a race help u?

dry throat after and during a race. makes it hard to breath.cant stand it.
My favorite race strategy is to go out really hard at the beginning and try to keep it up for the rest of the run. But my coach has been trying to get me to change my strategy for a couple years. I just can't get myself to do it! No matter what my mindset is when I step up to the start line, I end up at the front of the pack witnhin the first hundred meters.
The other one is knee pain. I've had an ongoing pain in my knee for a year now. I've gone to the doc, who gave me about 30 stretches to do every day. Plus, I ice all the time and I have 2 different knee braces that I used to wear- it's still sore! Not huge pain, but it's definitely there. It's annoying!
