Whats the fastest way to get back in shape for running?
i need to be in semi-good shape in 4 -6 weeks. As well as lose 5 pounds (i'm 112 and i run my best at 107). Any good tips?

You could be in pretty good shape in 4-6weeks. Eat healthy, keep yourself hydrated. Gradually work yourself up to what you are going to run. Don't over do it. Listen to your body. run every day. try to get in a good half mile or so. run around your neighborhood, at a local park, etc. it helps you build endurance. also, you have to eat right. cut down on fatty/ junk food. and eat more stuff with carbohyrdrates and protein. good luck!Run, swim, and lift. To get into shape for running you must run. Depending on your current condition you can begin jogging easy. When you need to stop just walk until you can run again. Try to do the distance you need to finish by using the run walk pattern until you can run the entire distance. You should do this 3 to 6 days per week. Do not run everyday take off at least one day. Be careful to not increase your distance too soon. It may be easy to injure yourself if you do too much too soon. By controlling you calories and the exercise you should not have any problems with your weight. As your condition improves you will be able to increase your effort and run faster.
