Running cramps?
I know that it is probably because I'm not in shape, but the other day in P.E. I got really bad running cramps to the point that I could almost not walk. That was two days ago and when I move certain ways, like when I'm sitting and I turn, it still hurts. Is this o.k.?

Can an overweight person train for a marathon?
Find a trainer or somebody who understands these things. It could be your posture. I was running a little awkwardly for a while due to a knee injury, and suffered sever running cramps and back pains. I got somebody to watch me run and he corrected my posture. Since then, no pains. Try it.How do I gain speed and endurance?
You have to practise regulary, and when you are tired you have to stop. Before, during and after running you have to drink water, and, if necessary (ask a doctor) you have to take some mineral salts like potassium (also bananas contain a lot of potassium, in fact people who play tennis or runners always eat bananas). You should avoid to run when it is too hot, and you should wear only shorts and a T-shirt!More Questions & Answers...
