I'm looking for an INTENSE work out plan for the summer!!?
I'm a 3 season sports player (cross country,basketball, and track).Over the summer I would like to build more upper. strength.I plan on running alote,but I would like to know what would be the most effective type of training?

I have a friend who is a great runner. Bullet Bob uses a rowing machine in addition to his running and this guy is amazing. For someone who only runs three days a week and rows three days a week. I've seen the most effective training is a combination of aerobic and anaerobic exercise. For example, on Monday, Wed., and Friday, you can run for say, 5 minutes, increase to 10 the next day, until you get to 30 minutes of running a day. On Tuesday and Thursday you can do the weights. Eat Halt, get plenty of rest, and drink lots of Water. Make sure you warm up before the exercises to prevent the lactic acid from building up thus creating muscle soreness by warming down, or stretching after the exercise as well.More Questions & Answers...
