Scholarship for track?
Okay...i graduated from high school last year (2006) and was planning on attending a state university, as well as run track there. I was offered a scholarship (not much $2,500) but i didn't end up going to that college. Instead I went to a 2 year college, but now I want to go to this school I was planning on going to in the first place and I still want to run track there. i'm wondering if it'd still be possible to get that scholarship? I haven't been in track for a year now, i've still been running but haven't been competing. What are the odds here? Or will I have to walk-on and prove to them I deserve it? Its just that I know I can still run the times I have before and I've seen their current runners' times...I'm faster. So I think i deserve one.

How do I pace myself for 1500m? (Any tactics I should know)?
I believe that in this situation you need to walk on because of your lack of competition and so they can make no definite judgement on where you are at. You should talk to someone about it such as athletic director, track coach, financial aid dept.I have a race today at 5:45 i want to leave at 12:50pm to support?
I think it might be possible. I would talk to someone in the Admissions offic or sports office if they have one.More Questions & Answers...
