Okay. First stretch a lot. The more flexible you are, the less chances you are to get hurt. Second time yourself doing a lap reguraly(the way you already run) and time it. Then try pumping your arms realy high and time that as well. When you see the difference between times keep praticing. You'll get it soon.7:30 per mile good for 13 year old?
Run 1 mile everyday then start working youself up to 2 miles then 3 and so on.Depends on the distance. Its harder to become faster if you're a sprinter. You can only run so fast before you reach your peak. Generally to become faster you need to do speed workouts like 1k time trials (I would do it at least 3x). You need to train yourself to run fast when you're tierd.
Track and Field help. 100 and 200 meters.?
don't just practice; you have to condition. the problem with conditioning is that only serious runners actually have the time to run almost daily! if you can, try running a mile a day. no matter how fast you actually run, try to keep a strong pace throughout, no breaks. over the next few days and weeks, try to increase your pace and the distance. it's always better to run a longer course slowly than to run your actual distance in preparation.More Questions & Answers...
