Shin splints?
Question:I have looked over the internet and believe i have shin splints (ouch). My question is for those who have had/have them. Is it possible for the pain to "radiate" down as far as the ankle or is this a different problem? I ref ball hockey and run on a hard surface for up to 3 hours per night. Also, instead of icing the shin (i hate ice on my skin) can i apply A5-35 instead/
hanks for the help ya'll!

if it is shin splints take a plastic cup and fill it with water and put it in the freeze wtih a stick in it(like making water popsicle.) once frozen roll it over ur shin. it will help. i know u don't like icing but ur not jut leaving the ice there your are doing something different to it.Getting gains on hard running days?
The first thing i recommend doing before you try A5-35 is checking your shoes to see if the padding is starting to wear down. Next i would take some ibeprofen to help the pain. then i would ice it a couple times a day. i would strongly recommend doing all of these steps before applying A5-35 b/c you might just temporarly dull the pain but it won't help to get rid of shin splints.Does anyone own a pair of Kangoo Jumps and how do you like them?
If you hate ice, do not put the ice directly on your skin. Place it inside a damp cloth. The swelling that causes the pain is best treated with ice. Other things can help, but I think you will get the best results from ice.More Questions & Answers...
