Do you think I have a stress fracture?
I rescently started running more than I have in a while, and about a week ago I started feeling a sharp pain comming from the inside of my foot whenever I put weight on it. After I start running or walking in supportive shoes, I stop noticing the pain. I am able to run on it, but it still hurts. Do you think I have a stress fracture?

How can I run faster?Im dreadful.?
The only way to diagnose a stress fracture is by X-ray. However, from the symptoms you described, it is very unlikely to be a stress fracture. Although the sharp pain you felt is indicative of a stress fracture, the fact that you were able to run again without pain leads me to believe that the source of your pain is elsewhere. Most likely, you have plantar fasciitis, which is an inflammation of the tissue along the bottom of your foot that connects your heel bone to your toes. The best approach to treating plantar fasciitis is to rest and ice your feet. Directly apply an ice pack to the area where you feel pain for no more than 15 minutes at a time for about 3-4 times a day. It should go away in a few days to a week or so.
One of the major causes of plantar fasciitis is a sudden increase in activity. Try to gradually start running by warming up first. Also, do not introduce any sudden increases in the intensity of your workout.
Good luck on your recovery.
I get somewhat of a burning sensation in my quad when i run?
If you can still run on it no you don't have a fracture. Take a week off running it won't harm your fitness too much. If you keep running on it you could well develop a fracture that would require 6 weeks off before starting easy running againI need a pulse meter that I can mount on my wrist or arm?
