Can a woman wear mens's running shoes?
depends how good you were last year.if last year you were getting 13s...aim for 13s or 14s..but practice makes perfectI plan to run my 1st 5k; what is a good finishing time ? a decent average finish line time ?
I would go with low 13s or 12s if you want to be competitive. The fastest 7th grade time I've seen was an 11 but the kid was 15 and had been held back.Possible events in track &field?
I've known someone to have run it in a little more than 11 seconds but since your in 7 th grade you should try to get in the late 12's or 13's.The best 100 meter dash is 9.77 for men and 10.49 for women
In The spring when the weather is still cool but the ground is no longer frozen is the best time to start conditioning, unless you live down south then when the weather is the coolest. Good luck and have fun!
How i can find out how far i have run?
First things first..what kind of injury did you have? If you had an injury serious enough to require surgery / physical rehabilitation, then consult a doctor prior to continuing. You do not want to risk re-injury.The next step is simple. You have to make your team. Are you as fast or faster than your team mates? You got to be on the team to get into a meet.
Once your on the team, shoot for high 12's, 13's.
Pay attention to all the heats at the track meets you participate in and you will become more familair with the times needed to win.
Go to high school track meets. They are very informal. If you wear your school gear, you can walk around freely on the field and talk to the competitors. Talk to everyone..not just the people from your school.
Practice. If you can, practice with someone faster. Make friends with a high school sprinter and practice with them. Don't worry if the sprinter is a girl (if you are a boy). The idea is to work with someone who has more experience than you so that you can learn to get better.
Use the net. There are plenty of workout routines posted every where.
Hit the weights. Strength and speed go hand in hand.
Eat a good diet. You may think you're too young for this, but it will make a difference in high school.
Lastly, listen to your coach. He/she may just know how to get you faster...that's why you call them Coach.
Know this...plenty of people have experienced injury and have come back stronger.
depends if your a girl or a boy
if your a girl then around 14 seconds is good
if your a boy under 13 is good
the winners for boys at most meets are under 12 like 11.7
