I am 15 year old freshman and I run a 5:34 mile. Should I try out for track?
I never ever run and the only reason why I ran the mile was for a grade in personal fitness class. My coach said if I start training and actually start running I could become very good.

go ahead if you can run a mile under 6 minutes you should try outAnyone in the phils. has an idea where can i get k-swiss shoes, that is made in chekoslovakia?
Yes, you should run track. Your time suggests you're pretty fit now, and dedicated training and hard work will make you much faster.Yea. I'm in the navy and i run a 1.5 miles in 11:00. Keep at it and you should do great.
Are static stretches bad before competition?
Yes! Thats really, really good for someine who has never ran. What site and place has air forces and filas?
yes! 5:34 minute mile is VERY good. especially for someone who doesn't really train. You should definetly do track, and do long distance in it.Go for it. You can get that time down to 5;10 by the end of the season if you run, I think you will be an extremely successful runner
What's this sinus pain I have when I run?
Yes, you should tryout. Some college students can't run a mile in that time. So give it a try. What should a average mile time be for a middle schooler?
Only if you want to. You probably have the natural gift, but if you don't enjoy it, whats the point. Track is a lot of hard work, and the faster you are the harder you work, it takes a special kind of person to be a runner especially mid and long distance. The decision has to come from your desire to perform, and that desire has nothing to do with how fast you can run the mile. It is worth all the work to break that ribbon at the end of the race, in fact its worth more. The question you need to ask is are you willing to put in the work."To give anything less than your best is to sacrifice the gift" -Pre
P.S. If you run you need, need, NEED to get a good pair of running shoes, I would suggest Asics or Mizuno but have also had luck with Saucony and Adidas. The best of luck to you!
What splits do I need for a 7:20 mile?
Someone who runs a 5:34 mile with no training has a future in high school track and perhaps even cross country. Talk with the coach; track teams can always use more members. And if nothing else, running on the team looks good on a college application, you'll get into really good shape, and you'll have fun with the rest of the team.Should i take a season off if i've had a hip injury?
Sounds like you are a natural born runner. 5:34 is real good if you haven't even trained. Just think how much faster you'll become..If you try hard enough, you could probably get it down at least another minute. And thats flying for a 15 year old. Take good care of your body, and listen to what its trying to tell you. I was in a 2A school, and i had my mile time down to 4:40, but i didn't start running til the 10th grade. So, i know if i can do it, you definitely can do it. Good luck!!You should try out but dont only try out for the mile. try out for everything you can. most of the highschool mile runners get under 5 mins so mayby the mile isnt the best thing for you but you can definitly get that down by your junior year to under 5
yes thats good you proble can improve a lot
yes, if you like it u should try out
