Pain from running barefoot...?
Question:I know it was a weird thing to do, but yesterday I ran in circles about 15 minutes on a sprung dance floor in my barefeet. It was a fairly small studio I guess, so I was always at an angle and had to change directions 3 times to even out the pressure in my feet... I started to feel a tingle in the ball of my foot and it got worse as I went on. by the time I stopped, if felt like the skin on the ball of my foot was torn, but it wasn't and it stung for a few hours later. not unbareable, but definetly uncomfortable. I think it was worth it though, running on the sprung floor in bare feet, it felt like flying!
my feet feel fine now, 18 hours later, but what exactly do you think I did to them to make them feel that way? What it the skin or muscles or what? Is it really bad for them? Not a good idea to run those laps again unless I have shoes on? Has anyone else had this weird sensation?

Im tired of wearing black or dull color running tights?
Yep. I know exactly what you are talking about. It's probably just too much stress on your feet because running barefoot flattens out your arches. That's why shoes were invented! But if you insist on running barefoot, gradually ease into it. Let your feet get used to the pressure, but make sure you don't do it too often or you may permanently damage your arches. If it hurts too much, you can always grab some tape and wrap it around your foot where the arch is, then proceed to run around barefoot.
Is it possible to actually sprint a 400 meter?
i've running barefoot all the time from my home to local liquor store.1 mile away. No problem for me. I am 40 years old.Did good at first ever track meet but wanna get better?
Nothing wrong with running barefoot, please see source for two pages dedicated to barefoot running! However, if you've always worn shoes up until now, it is a good idea to work up to it gradually and get your feet used to it.
Also, I'd think running in small circles may indeed cause you to put strain on your feet in an odd way, that'd happen regardless of what you're wearing.
I have felt your sensation when i first started going barefooted more.It did hurt at first, but the less i depended on the shoes,my feet toughened up and now it feels odd to run with shoes on ,on all surfaces
