good for you wanting to improve!
Im 12 love soccer, track and softball anyone else?
of course it will improve..you have to gently push it..but yeah you will improve..it is hard to say if it'll take a month ...but that sounds about right..Is there some database where I can compare my 5 and 10k times against other runners my age?
keep on practicing everyday and you will eventually get there. maybe 1 week or 2.Am I good enough for cross country?
You dont want to overdue it..but running a mile every day will produce results in time. If i may make a suggestion..eat a banana before you run, they help relieve crampsIt isn't how far you run every day that's going to improve your time, it's how you train. Running a mile every day at the same steady pace isn't going to do anything for you (except build endurance, but that's not what you're aiming for.) What you need to do is build in spurts of higher speed. You run fast for one minute, then regular pace for four, then fast for another minute, regular pace to the end of your mile. It's called interval training, and as you get better, you reduce the interval between the fast sets. That's how to build speed, along with your endurance.
When's the best time of day to run?
in easy words if you work hard everyday at your fastes possible you will improve. before i started running officially with training and all i used to take about 10:00. i started running a mile everyday, my fastest and now in two months i can make it in 6:50. i don't get as tired no more. i'm very proud and will start running again for cross country, i'm aiming for 5:59. good luckYou need to run further than just one mile. Try running 2 to 3 miles easy for a month or so, and then you can run a one mile time trial. It should not be hard to drop your time to under 8 minutes.
How can I get scholarship in Norway Denmark Sweden?
You definitely will improve on our speed and on your good health too. Listen to "Old Lady". She's got the best advice. Since you will be training hard, you will need to rest hard too, for your muscles to have time to recover and strengthen. Do you know that if you keep on running a mile a day, you will be a "Streaker". That would be some feat and is something to be proud of. Keep it up..!More Questions & Answers...
