Since an overwhelming majority of marathons are held in the United States and Europe, so it seems unlikely that a native Ethiopian would travel abroad to participate in a marathon if there was any chance that he/she would come in last. Therefore, it is unlikely that there ever was one that came in last, and I am sure you will have to wait a long time before it happens, if it ever does.
