How do I pace myself for 1500m? (Any tactics I should know)?
I have a race next Wednesday! I haven't really trained!

My advice is simple:
Get your breathing going an hour before you're to start--and eat pasta the night before.
First quarter, try to be smooth, not nervous, worry about rhythm and nothing else;
Second quarter, your legs will do what you need if you
save as much track as you can, staying close to the edge of the track.
Third quarter, you must expect to be a bit slower--you'll be saving something for the finishing quarter, so pay attention to your breathing and even shorten your stride a trifle.
Fourth quarter--see how you are feeling. If you feel as if you have something left, wait until you have 180 yards to go and then try to leave nothing in the tank.
You're not in condition for this so forget about winning; twhat I've told you is your only chance to do well.
Good luck.
Don't think about what's going on. Just run. Try to distract yourself by starring(looking) straight forward and just cruise along.
I never run 1500m races, but i run the 1600. I am shorter than the other girls so I have to have really long strides. Sprint the last 200m, breathe for two steps in, and two steps out.
