Where are you still running cross country? It's January, and the season here ends in late October. I assume you're talking about next year?Anyway, I think cross country is a much better sport than track. Cross country builds character better than any other sport, and you push yourself to the limit, but that's just it: you're pushing your own limits. I started cross country my freshman year, and I had zero running talent, zero stamina, and zero endurance. I somehow ended up team captain (I'm a senior now). My improvement in just a year was amazing, and I think you'll find it much easier the next time around. Once you clear the hurdle of getting your body to move steadily for 3 miles, you'll improve incredibly. As my coach says: "keep moving!" When you stop running, you're just making it worse for yourself. It's much better to get yourself into the zone and just focus - that's where the racing element comes in.
I hope I was somewhat helpful. Please don't quit what could become a great personal challenge and a life-long hobby.
What is the best thing ot eat to help me perform to my best, while getting back into running?
no keep at it. Try your best. you'll do betterHow long will it take for sub-7-mile to sub-6-mile?
no you should defenitely not quit! What I recommend is running everyday during the off season to make yourself better, but never quit, ecspecially if you love to run! Anyways, cross country isn't all about taking a high place, I say if you can run that far without quitting then your better off then a lot of people in this world. Don't quit, and push yourself to become better. You will succeed.
no
Okay here's what you do, if you want to become a better cross-country runner, then go out for the track team so you can get better over a period of time but if you dont want to do track, then you should go work out to increase your stamina and run on the tread mills and bikes and all of that stuff.
Anyone know how to run faster and for longer?
