Running? fast?

First of all, that is a pretty impressive time. Cutting that much time off of your mile in one month is very difficult, if at all possible. One of the best runs to make you faster is a Tempo run. Run 10 minutes hard (5k pace), jog for 2 minutes, and then either 5 or 10 minutes hard. Start with 5, and then later, when you can go even further, increase to 10. This gives you about 20 minutes of hard running. If at all possible, do not run this on a track. It will get very boring. If your school has a cross country course that is measured out, run on that, becouse you need to get your mile splits. This is a pretty difficult workout, but will help a lot. Run this a couple times a week, with an easy workout on the following day. Make sure you get a long run (60-90 minutes) in once a week. Make sure you take one day off of running to rest. Good luck

îam a senior cross-country runner, high school, i run 3 hard laps everyday, i swim every twice a week.?

In less than a month? I dont even think that is possible...go to a gym and get a trainer and tell em what you want and they will tell u what to do.

Does anybody run in Brooks sneakers? What's your opinion?

exercise regularly.. keep movin,.. dont stop til you get enough///

Running? Or Machines?

First of all, it sounds like you are already in pretty good shape for a 13 year old female. I assume that you are already running some, or you probably couldn't run that time.

The best way to get your time down is to get on a regular running schedule, and run 4-5 times a week. The more you run, the better you will get.

About your shape, if you watch your diet, you will lose excess weight. Without knowing what kind of shape you have now, it's impossible to know what kind of shape you can be in a month from now, but again, the more energy you use, the more calories you burn. You will get more muscle tone, which will give you an athletic look that maybe you're looking for.

One other point: I bet your middle school track coach would love to have you on his team this spring! Find out who that is, and sign up!

Breathing question?

If you are 13, you probably don't need to focus on losing weight and being thin. It sounds like you are somewhat active right now, and that will keep you healthy and strong. Continue running and find other activities you enjoy, but trying too hard to lose weight can cause you health problems in the future. Trust me, it is not worth losing 10 lbs!
The "running shape" you are talking about is unique to a small number of people. Only people with very thin bone structure can acheive this. Just something to think about, you can't acheive what your body is not built for. Many good runners are more muscular, so don't equate thin running shape with speed!
Be careful, stay healthy, and keep on running!

WHY DO YOU PEOPLE WANT SUCH FAST RESULTS?

I'm telling you right now, and i don't mean to burst your bubble, but you won't drop 35 seconds from your mile in a month.
