Right now I run an 8 min. mile, which I need to get down to 6 min in a month and a half. How do I do it?


I don't have a time or place really to go for a run, so are there any excersises that alone could increase my speed?

Are you talking about running just 1 mile, or running several miles at a 6 minute pace?

I don't think you can go from running a 10k at an 8 minute pace, to a 6 minute pace in just a month in a half. Maybe if you use performance enhancing drugs, but I wouldn't recommend that.

Look, if you have a month and a half to run a mile, what's the difference, just start now, and you can take all the time you want, take a day to run the mile. As long as you start now, you'll finish. Remember kids, always set a goal and stick to it!

Starting blocks...in track?

thats gonna be really hard to do...umm...run 40 miles a week and on the 4th week run like 20-30miles instead fo 40 and then the week after that go back to 40miles a week...hope this works and good luck on bringing ur mile time down to 6min

Unless you are really out of shape, and you only want to run one mile, there is no way. Also, no way if you cannot run. If you are out of shape and only want to run one mile, and can find a place and time to run, then, go to a track, jog slowly for 800 meters, then go as fast as you can maintain for 400 meters, walk or jog, 400 meters, etc. If you can run 400 meters in under 90 seconds, you may have a chance, but, I doubt it.
