What's ur 100m time?

Go to a reputable running store in your area and talk with them. Most good stores have salespeople who will be able to put you into a good shoe and won't try to "sell you up" unnecessarily. A quick web search for running stores in your area should find some.

They should ask you questions about your training patterns, training goals and injury history and may even watch or video you as you walk to get a good read on your footstrike patterns. If you have a current pair of trainers bring those with you. It will help their evaluation. After the "interview" they should offer you a number of different shoes that you can take for a short "test ride" in the store. Make sure you get more than one manufactuer in your test panel and don't be afraid to reject them all if nothing is working right.

As for size, go with what feels right - I personally prefer a larger trainer, but I know some people swear a really snug fit can help prevent injury and make your stride seem more fluid. A grossly oversized shoe will lead to blisters and can feel really sloppy, so I wouldn't go anymore than a half-size up. Remember the "rule of thumb" - when standing you should have a thumb's width of distance between the end of your big toe and the end of the toe box.

Do NOT go to an "all sports" or "athletic equipment" store - in my experience the salespeople there don't have the extensive specialzed running experience that you will get at a specialty running store. They also will not offer the range of brands or models that you will find in a specialty store.

Also, do NOT assume that just because your current trainers are serving you well that you can just hop into this year's model. Oftentimes makers rework their shoe designs from year to year and this can sometimes totally change the fit and feel of the shoe.

I can run the 100m in 13.76sec and im 14 year old is that fast?

Vernon,

Go to a running store (a store that specializes in running shoes, not a mall Foot Locker store).

They will analyze you running style, landing, ask you questions and recommend several different shoes for you to try out.

Run in one pair outside, and see how you feel the next day. Do the same with the remaining shoes.

I run with Nike Running in Los Angeles, and I would never buy or recommend their running shoes.

I wear Reeboks for street running (very good cushion) and Sauconys for beach running (excellent stability).

Bad running shoes will ruin your knees and your back.

Does anyone else take hot showers even when its hot?!?!? or is it just me?

I buy on line at www.roadrunnersports.com. Their sales reps have lot of knowledge about shoes. or follow the advise of the other go to a running store and have them analyze your running and fit you with a shoe that will work for you ability etc.

New Balance or Asics are your best choices

do NOT buy Nike. they make a great basketball shoe, but their running shoes are awful, unless you spend $500+ for their top of the line ones.

but I agree with the previous answers, the best thing to do is go to a real running store and let them help you select a shoe that works best for your feet and stride.

How fast is Michael Johnson?

Do some people go running just to be seen running?

depending on the type of foot you have, you need to get the appropiate shoe. if you go to a running shoe store like super runners shop, they can help you find the proper shoe. if your foot pronates or if you have problems with your knees, whatever the circumstance, you have to find the right shoe. trainers, which are sneakers that you wear to practice, should fit comfortably. they should be tied tightenough so that your heel doesnt come out easily when you take them off. competition shoes, or spikes should be fitted. if they are too tight or too loose, you can hurt yourself

Whats a good time for a 15 year old 100 meter sprint?

Please go to a running store, and try shoes on. This really is one area where fit and function are more important than style, color, or brand. A good running store will be able to find a few shoes that best fit your needs, then try them on.
