Do you think my time is fast?
when i was in 4th or 5th grade, i could run a mile in a bout 9 and a 1/2 minutes. Its been a few years now, but do you think that was fast for my age? Do you think now i could run even faster than that just because im older, and stronger?
Answers:
If you want to significantly improve your times consider some organized and structured training. Maybe your school has a track team.
Good luck on your running, but remember, you're still relatively young and growing. Don't go too crazy with your training now. Just enjoy it and have fun. If you're still enjoying it in High School then really go at it and look for "peak" performances in your 20's and early 30's (college and just after).
Good luck.

Can any shoe be made into a nike+ shoe?
Well how old are you, how long ago was that, what physical activities have you one since then and how often. It all depends. If you are 89 years old I don't know if you can run faster but in general you should be able to run faster than that, but that is a decent time for such any young lad/lass.I think thats a pretty good time for en elementary schooler but I don't know because its rare that someone that age races a mile. I do know that you naturally improve as you get older, so even without training you'll be able to improve your time over the next few years.
Regardless, as a highschool senior, I've noticed that some of the fastest kids in my elementary school are slow now, but some are just as fast. Times at that young an age arent the best indicator of how fast you'll be.
Go stay in Kenya for a couple of months or Tanzania.you will soon run very fast.trying to out run a chasing Lion or such.should improve your running speed...Enjoy
Most 4th or 5th graders probably couldn't even run a whole mile! as you get older you will definately get an increase in speed, stamina and strength naturally...so I'm certain u'd beat ur time. u would wipe the floor with ur old time if u did some training too, go for it!
It depends on how long it's been and what you have been doing in that time. If you have been just kind of sitting around since then, your time will probably be around there, but if you have been active, it may have improved.
Are my times where they should be??
yes that was fast for your age. i ran that in 7th grade, but improved by 3mins in 8thno offense, if you run that time now, it's below average.
yes most kids can't run a mile at all
What can I do to improve my time in the 300 Hurdles?
if you continued training and learning of course you can. If you haven't continued any kind of training related to that event you cannot get faster just by getting older and stronger. If taht was the case a gold medallist in 2004 can stop training and expect to win in 2008 because they got 4yrs older. "If you don't use it, you lose it"that is good- you never know until you try! but you most likely will be a lot faster then that now
