What are the best type of sneakers?

As a sprinter you should be doing some specialized resistance training (i.e. lifting) to build upper body strength. Circuit training is probably best if you're just starting out, but your coach should be able to set you up with a decent workout. Check with him.

Do you have to be skinny to race in a cross-country race?

for the top wear under armor for the botton wear running tights

Who else gets this feeling..?

Sprinters usually do alot of anaerobic training such as weight lifting whereas long distance runners stick to conditioning and aerobics.

If you can, read a few books about weight training and that way you can create your own workout regimen. Then go to the gym and put it to use. The feild and track season is a month away (atleast in my part it is) so you need to get to work ASAP. OR, just ask your coach about it.

I am sooo worried?

im a long distance runner and a relay person (part sprint), so from the remarks u already got, listen to them, work on ur upper body. since u need to move ur arms faster when u sprint, you need to build up ur resistance in ur upper body. if ur arms don move, ur legs dont. thats a key thing my mom told me. the ymca works pretty well for upper body strength (the 2nd floor). i work on the keiser equimpment and that works u. try it. good luck!

What is triple jump?

Do lunges. It helps build your leg muscles and is very good for sprinters. Running tights would be good to run for your legs and under armour but it depends on how cold it is.

How does one get stitches while running?

depending on your age, ie if you are young I would not recommend weights, except your own body weight. ie press ups/situps, leaning against a wall with your back straight and legs at a 90 degree angle (hold for as long as you can). To build up explosive power would advise a series of basic exercises. Mark out 5-10 m and then do the following, with a jog back between each one. As large a bunny hop as possible (normally should be able to do maybe 5-7 within distance and works your theighs and arms) x3, small bunny hops (as small as you can, this will work on your calves) x3. Hopping on one leg (5-7 in distance)x3 then the other leg. Then bounding taking as large a steps as possible x3. Reapeat this everytime you train to build strength without the stress on a growing body that weights do. Also do sprints up a v steep hill.

hope this helps

Is there any difference in the training between a runner and walker for a marathon?

You need to be doing sprints for your event and also getting in a little distance work. Since you are a sprinter you should be getting in a lot of track work. Underarmour does make good outfits to wear as far as keeping you warm and not being bulky.

Ok how long should be mile be to make track?

Do some squats everyday.
Run Endurance because you can never have enough Endurance in a 600 meter sprint or a 400 meter sprint. It is very vital.
Also as mentioned before. Work on upper body, its a big part of your speed and control on turns and such.
