What's the best way to prevent/care for blisters?

Ok, here's the deal. I'm trying very hard to lose weight and get into shape, but I keep getting blisters on the same place on my right foot. I even bought new shoes to help cure this problem, or so I thought! I didn't buy cheap shoes. I went to a shoe store recommended by a coworker. They looked at my feet, the way I stand and they way I walk. But these new shoes are giving me blisters on the right edge of my right foot, the outside part of my big toes, and my left heel. Is there anything that I can use to prevent them? I know that runners put on some kind of lotion or something before they run a 5K or a marathon. Also, what's the best way to care for them and get rid of them fast? Thanks in advance for all your answers!

What is a proper track diet?

sounds like you did the right thing on your shoes, now take a look at your socks.

avoid cotton. it traps water and can cause blisters as the wet fabric rubs against your skin. look for synthetic socks made for running, you can probably find them at the same store that sold you the shoes. I dont know of any lotion you can use, but you can try a dry powder like gold bond, some people really like it.

to care for your current blisters - do not pop them if you can avoid it. just keep them dry and clean, and they should go away in a week or so.

If all else fails, get some moleskin. you can find it at the drug store in the foot care aisle. its basically sheets of very sticky thin fabric. you cut off a peice, and stick it over your skin where you usually get blisters. its like a second layer of skin that saves your real skin from rubbing and damage.

Jump Roping?

i put a band-aid over it and keep on running. I don't know about any lotion because I don't use anything. You probably have to break-in your new shoe and get your feet used to it. If you stop wearing them, the next time you do wear them you will get the blisters again. I would recommendend bearing with the pain until it stops. It's normal, after the first day of running with my new sauconeys i got a blister on my ankle cause of the socks and it was bleeding pretty bad but now it doesn't hurt anymore

How can I improve my sprinting speed?

To take care of blisters, just cut out molefoam (can find it at your local pharmacy) and cut another hole inside the piece u just cut out that it looks like a donut surrounding the blister. it is perfect for that. and to get rid of them fast, the best way is just rest or avoid agitating the blister anyway you can. good luck!

How to run the 800 M in track !!?

During soccer season in high school, I would always get tons of blisters at the start of the season. But after a while of doing the same activity, your skin toughens up (gets callous) and becomes less prone to blistering.

In the mean time, DON'T pop the blisters. The fluid will reabsorb into your body. Popping them opens it up and now makes it a wound prone to infection, plus it hurts like a beotch.
