What armbands can you use with Nike + Sports Kit?

uhh. there's no way they'll make you run 2 miles in 12 minutes. you're probably running a mile. anyways, gym class sucks, try to run with a friend.

How many calories a day?

Just remember to pace yourself and you will be ok.

What motivates you to run?

8 laps would be 2 miles. In 12 minutes? IDK, they should give some of you a break and do 15min. I'm a runner and I can do a few miles in 15 min, and it aint easy believe me I know. Good luck to you.

What you need to do is set a decent pace for you, not the person in front or behind you, breathe through your nose and take your time if you have to, guranteed if you don't stop to take a breathe and dont make the 12 min the teacher will give you credit for trying

What motivates you to become a better runner?

anyway ...
its not because u were the fastest runner or not ..
its only 1 way ..
u need to control your stamina ..just jogging
dont run too fast at the first 1~7 laps ..
dont care about the girl who at the first place on 1~6 laps..
actually its really fun to overtake people =P ..
at the 7laps or 8laps make your MOVE
( let out all your stamina and sprinting to overtake the girl and earn first place ) .. its a good strategy right =D. .
with the 12 minutes .. i dont know ...

im sorry for my broken english

I can run a quick 3 miles but why cant i run a quick 800m?

All right. If you're asking what the best pace to start out with in order to make that 3200 meters (technically a little under two miles; I'm assuming your track is 400 meters and not the older 440 yard track I used to run on in high school), you are going to want to go no faster on the first lap than 85 seconds. If you can do the first four laps in 85-second pace, and you can keep that effort during the second mile you will finish the second four in around 95 seconds per lap...thus giving you the eight laps in 12 minutes.

Most running coaches, physiologists and athletes have figured that you lose around five percent of your speed between the beginning and the end of the run. So, if you were able to run (race) a lap in 100 seconds, you supposedly would do the second lap (at the same effort) in 105 seconds. It's kind of what we running coaches do to estimate performance between distances, like guessing what an athlete will do for three miles when all they have raced before is a two mile race.

"Although there are no studies of the optimum pacing strategy for running races longer than 1500 meters (metric mile) (Foster and others, 1994) the current consensus is that even-paced running is the optimum tactic for all racing distances, and this becomes increasingly important the longer the race."

At 5:00 today I will run 3 miles any advice?

This is what I do when I do track. While I'm running I mostly past my self first.(I have a fast past)Then at the end just run as fast as you can even if you can't run fast.I always tell my friend don't pay atenchin of others runnig it will just slow you down. You Welcome

I am thinking of getting nike air max 360s. is it possible that they will blow up if i step on something sharp

i think you're in grade ten right? just do your best and don't run too fast to begin with.

How can I improve my running speed?(besides running)?

So I'm 100% sure that you are not going to be doing 8 laps around the track in that time for gym class (most guys can't do that without training). I'm guessing maybe 8 around your gym? If you have a stop watch it will be good to know how fast you have to run each lap, in this case 90 seconds. Just watch your pace and if you are ahead of it and need to stop and breath, go ahead who cares, just be careful not to stop too much. I suggest going out at a nice easy pace and just trying to hold that instead of trying to go fast.
