A good time in the 800 meters is 2:30-3:00 area. I would recommend working on stamina , go on longer runs say 2-5 miles on the weekends and build up your cardio. (it will help).Good luck and have fun

Are you in High School? For females I will give you times from best to average in the USA ! For 800 meters 2:06 to 2:38. For the Mile 4:45 to 5:30. For the 2 mile 10:25 to 11:40. Well good Luck!!How can I prevent getting blisters from running?
If you are in high school, you can probably check your state's athletic association's website. Most states have a time that will qualify you for the state meet. That time would be an excellant time to reach for.worse case, they will have last year's state meet results posted. Those can give you an idea of what the top compitition you will face will be running.
