Good Times And Distances For 100m / 400m / Long Jump?
They are both cardiovascular exercises, each targeting different muscular areas. Swimming primarily targets the upper body and running, the lower body. In terms of which is harder, depends on the person. Swimming requires endurance for the muscles it targets, and for sports such as soccer, this endurance is primarily lower body. So to answer your question, people who run long distances definitely have the endurance to excel in a sport such as soccer, where one is constantly runnning. The long distance running is a type of conditioning for the particular sport.Good websites for asics trainers?
swimming is harder because u use more muscle to swimIs running with a fan blowing on you bad?
running is harder. although swimming is a better over all exercise since it uses both upper and body strength, but if you only swam you would not have the endurance it takes to play soccer. runners also easily adapt to cycling, easier than a cycler can adapt to become a runner. It has been said the the runner is better at doing a triathlon, opposed to a person who cycles or swims onlyTo me, swimming is harder as you have to be constantly in motion to maintain afloat. All the muscles are used in swimming and you feel exhausted after a swim.
Look at the swimmers, they have a streamline shaped bodies and their upper bodies are more well developed. For the runners, their lower bodies like the thighs and calves are stronger. There is a saying that the swimmers have "dead muscles". They have the endurance but not the speed in running.
Swimming uses horizontal position whereas running upright position. To build the stamina of the sportmen, running is usually done. You can see TV always show the soccer teams would go for a routine run before they start their training sessions but hardly you see swimming before training.
For relaxation and flexibility, swimming is the one.
running is harder but i think you will enjoy it more
