The New Balance 766 immediately replaced the 765.However I think the shoes might actually be another generation beyond the 766. You might want to check out a possible 767, the numbering is pretty straightforward for this model.

Don't give up hope - you can still find New Balance 765's at online retailers and other shoe outlets, though if you have an unusual size it might be more challenging.However, in true New Balance form, the 765 was replaced with the 766.
