I run because it is just me and my thoughts. I do not have to impress anyone.

It's good to run. It increases your metabolism (as do most exercises) and makes me feel good. I also want to join the Cost Guard during college probably and im so excited to join them that i want to train my body now. Im gonna do more during the summer like other exercies but to get in both females and males hav to do the same exercise tests. Its rare for women to get in for this reason.Diet while training for 1/2 marathon?

i run because a lot of the time i have nothing to do so i just go out on a run. i think that running isnt something that a lot of people enjoy doing, i think that a lot of people do it for a reason, wheather it is to loose weight or because their coach is making them. but for me i run because i want to get better or i am up to a challenge!Running is like the non-sedentary version of meditation. You are alone and it is easier to reflect on important or unimportant things listening to the rhythmic beat of your feet on the pavement. I run because it is good for my mind and body. It keeps me sane.
Is it good to run 6 days a week?
i am 16 years old, and i have played almost every sport under the sun at one time, and throughout my life all the sports that i have done, somehow have failed me, whether the people in them are jerks, or i get cut from a team, but one sport has never failed me and that is running. and it is on those days when you can't walk up the stairs, or the days that youre throwing up blood or the days when the blisters on your feet start bleeding that you ask yourself, why do i run? and it is a question that truly does puzzle me, but the answer is the same nearly every time and it is the enjoyment of having self satisfaction and a sense of achievement. once you start you just can't stopIve got a question about distance running...?

I run because I just love to run, plain and simple. It makes me happy, keeps me relaxed, and being on the track and cross country teams has helped me make friends and has given me stuff to do. The real question would be, "Why do I love to run?" I honestly don't know; I have a skin condition that makes it so whenever I go out for a run, I come back in pain from the blisters. I have allergies for most of the good running season here, and running makes them worse. I'm slow, I'm clumsy, and I tend to run into trees a lot. Running causes me a lot of pain.
