How should I improve his mile and 800 time?

Depends if sprinters, middle distance or long distance.

For all you cross country/runners out there?

yep they develop them over years

I would like some coaching tips on running like a great work out plan?

No...they have a more efficient lungs, heart and respiratory system.

Essentially, they make better use of the oxygen they take in and recover at a much greater speed than us normal people. their hearts also work more efficiently. Sebastion Coe at the height of his career had a resting heart rate of 42 beats per minute!!

Dress shoes with support of a running shoe?

I agree with Robert, more efficient lungs not bigger

When running, does it help to wrap.?

No they just have stonger lungs from being worked so much over the years. However the best runners usually do have some kind of natural extra growth such as maybe bigger lungs or a larger heart so more oxygen can get to the mucles. I run with a kid in college that started running only 2 years ago and then was injured for 3 months over the summer during highschool and then got injuried again 2 months ago and just started training last week but is still able to beast out 1:53 800's with almost no training and happeneds to PR. He definatly has something extra in his body. I believe justin gatlin has some extra muscle in his leg some where and that is why he is so fast but dont cite me on that.

I need songs for a track and field DVD... Any suggestions??

Yes. Long distance runners and others that do a lot of cardio work have expanded their lungs over time. Your lungs are living tissue, and just like your muscles grow to meet the growing demand when you weight lift; Lungs, too, will get bigger & stronger when you provide them with many cycles of stress & rest. (Side note: same goes for your heart...Lance Armstrong's resting heart rate was less than 30 bpm! That means it's strong enough to do in one beat what takes most of our hearts 2!...(avg hr = 60 bpm).

Good luck!
